Development Update #32


I’ve made good progress on 0.4 beta 2 during the past week. I now have a total of eight shots and three animations complete for Alice’s sex scene. The fourth animation had a minor issue that needed corrected, but that is done and I will render it again tonight. I have also posed the fifth animation and have added it to the queue to render overnight/tomorrow while I am at work.

On another note, I’ve been working on something else besides the new renders for 0.4 beta 2. As I have mentioned before, when I started working on the Alice and Mia’s first dates, I started rendering as 4K tif images instead of 1080 jpgs. This allows me to batch convert the raw uncompressed images using whatever compression method I feel will work best. Getting everything rendered as 4K tif images then gives me the best flexibility for the future of Unexpected Consequences, so I have started queuing up re-renders of all of the day one through five content to 4K tif images for times when my workstation would otherwise be idle. In addition to rendering at higher resolution and uncompressed, I am also adjusting the render settings to improve the render times, fixing some bad adjustment morphs I had on Alice’s hair early on, and updating Rick’s morphs to match what I currently use. I have already completed all of the stills for day one and a large portion of day 2. My goal is to have everything re-rendered in time to upgrade Unexpected Consequences to full 4K resolution for version 0.5 while also creating a slightly more compressed 1080 build for Android.
