Development Update #49

I've been working on the big scene for the next update, but I haven't made as much progress as I would have liked. This scene is in an entirely new location, and it took me longer than anticipated to fully set up the environment. I also added in a lot of additional character movement at the beginning of the scene with some of the rewrites I did. I do have the first six shots posed though, and the seventh shot should be the last one with major character movement in it, which should drastically reduce the time to pose each additional shot after that.

In addition to working on the next scene, I've also been re-rendering additional shots to add in depth of field. I have now completed the re-renders for day 6 and the morning of day 7 shots that still needed DoF. I've started working on the shots for Alice's date at the restaurant and only have two groups of shots left to render, which I will do overnight tonight. I will then work on Mia's date at the restaurant, then I want to go back and add in DoF to some more shots on days 1 and 2. After that, I believe I will be done remastering old shots.

I've also been working on some behind the scenes business items in preparation for putting Unexpected Consequences on Steam. I decided to go ahead and form an LLC and set up a business bank account. That is done and I am now in the process of getting my Steamworks account set up. After that, I will also need to set up a paid Apple developer membership so I can get future Mac builds notarized, as that will be a requirement for having a Mac version on Steam.
